Here are all the tips you need when decorating a child's room

You may be faced with decorating the baby's room right at birth or when the child gets a little older. It's a place that will change a lot in the early years, and will represent the child's personality and interests. At the same time, it is a place for both play and coziness. So how should you think about decorating a baby's room? We give you the answers!

Are you decorating the kids' room? Start with a moodboard!

A mood board is a smart first step to decorating a child's room. Here you can play with colors, shapes, furniture and cute, personal elements such as decorative toys or posters. In this step, you can think about whether the children's room is primarily a bedroom, playroom or both. Feel free to add details that symbolize your child to make the room more personal.

    Creating a solid foundation

As your child grows, their needs and preferences will change, so it's a good idea to create a solid foundation to build on for the first few years. Start by deciding on a base color for the room, then add some relatively neutral secondary colors and/or woods. After that, you can add your favorite colors and details that make the room more personal.

Bring out the playfulness and personality in the details

Now you can let your child's personality shine with favorite things and colors. A powerful way to create a unique children's room is personalized posters and you can easily create these at Hello Tint! Here you choose the motif, color, shape and message yourself when you make a personal poster from scratch. Maybe a purple board with a unicorn and the child's name, a green board with a soccer ball and a motivational quote or a yellow board with a hot air balloon and the child's date of birth? Let your imagination run wild!
