Nutritious food for children - meal in no time at all

    Sponsored by Alex & Phil

From around six months of age, a new chapter in the baby journey begins - this is the time to start eating food! As a parent, you may feel responsible for feeding your baby the best food possible, but in the midst of all the planning, cooking and other aspects of toddler life, it's not surprising if you run out of energy. Then you can safely lean on Alex&Phil's range

    Children and nutritious food

Having a child comes with many thoughts about how you want to be as a parent. Often these can include things like what the child can and cannot do, how to deal with a defiant child or what kind of food to feed. As with many other things, it is quite possible that the vision then becomes something completely different. This is especially true in the transition from breastfeeding or formula feeding to introducing food.

The truth is that the food you give your child in the early days sets the bar for what they enjoy later on. However, this doesn't mean that you as a parent have to set high standards for yourself when it comes to cooking! In fact, just because you lower your bar, doesn't mean you have to lower the nutritional standards of your child's food.

One of the reasons why it's so important for young children to eat the most nutrient-dense food possible is precisely because they eat several small portions. So it's not for nothing that Alex&Phil products have carefully selected ingredients and contain up to twice as many calories compared to other baby food brands. Simply put, every meal should help ensure that your child gets exactly the energy they need - and the right energy, that is, from protein, healthy fats, the right kind of carbohydrates and dietary fiber - to grow and develop in the best possible way. And all this while the food is organic, made from real ingredients and free from additives and sweetening juice concentrates. Just like the food you can spend (what feels like) forever making at home, but in no time.

Fat is an important source of energy and most of the fats needed can be made in the body from carbohydrates and protein. The exception is the omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. These are vital - essential - and need to be present in food. Most people consume omega-6 without thinking about it and omega-3 is mainly found in oily fish but also in rapeseed oil. These fatty acids act as important building blocks in the brain and are good for the development of vision, for example. By using cold-pressed rapeseed oil in their smoothies, porridges and meals, each meal from Alex&Phil contributes essential fatty acids, which are necessary for children to grow and develop normally.

If children are eating food that is properly composed, they will be satisfied in the right way. This way, you don't have to give multiple snacks or meals per serving, which is more economical, sustainable and nutritious - a good eating experience for both parent and child, plain and simple!

Alex & Phil's range includes smoothies, porridge and meals, all of which are designed with the vision that all children should have good and nutritious food while growing up. They have carefully selected ingredients that make the dining experience both good, nutrient-dense, organic, KRAV-labeled and climate-compensated. All products in the range are free from rice, rice flour, juice concentrate, ascorbic acid and without added sugar and salt.
