After months of waiting, it's finally time to welcome your new family member! It's impossible to predict exactly when your baby will be ready to face the world. Some stick to the schedule, some are in a hurry, and others are more hesitant about life outside the womb. The wait can seem like forever, but packing your maternity bag is a milestone that signals that your first meeting is approaching. It also helps with mental preparation.
Should we start packing the maternity bag?

    1. Bodysuits for the baby

After that incredible moment when your baby is born and you're lying skin to skin, your baby will soon need to be dressed to keep warm. That's when we recommend a soft and cozy garment that's easy to put on! All H&M bodysuits are made from soft, organic cotton jersey and have press studs in the crotch for easy dressing. But remember - accidents happen easily, so bring some extra clean bodysuits for quick changes. H&M's bodysuits are also available in 5-packs!

    2. Soft pants with room for small feet

Match the bodysuit with a pair of soft pants to keep those little legs warm. H&M's pants have an extra soft waistband at the sensitive area around the tummy. Both fabrics and seams are super soft to provide extra comfort against your baby's skin. Plus, some pants have sewn-in feet to keep little feet warm and in place.

    3. comfortable nursing bras

A good nursing bra is essential for every mom who decides to breastfeed! Your body will continue to change after giving birth, so a nursing bra provides much-needed comfort while making breastfeeding easier. H&M offers a range of stylish and functional nursing bras, including wireless models, stretchy fabrics and lined inserts that will keep you comfortable and supported through your new day.

    4. relaxing loungewear

Childbirth is stressful and overwhelming in many ways, so comfort is usually one of the top priorities for mothers in the early days. That's why we recommend packing relaxed clothes in soft materials that can be worn in the maternity ward during your stay. Explore H&M's stylish loungewear and outfits for that first, cozy time as a new parent.

    5. cotton cap

No matter what time of year your baby is born, it's important to keep their head warm. Cute and cozy cotton hats are just as important in summer as in winter - so don't forget to pack a little hat for your new arrival.

    6. comfortable underwear

The last thing you need after giving birth is uncomfortable underwear. Avoid tight styles with sharp edges or irritating seams - opt for soft fabrics that are gentle on your skin. H&M has a wide range of comfortable cotton underwear available in handy multi-packs.

    7. baby blankets

Wrap your little one in a soft baby blanket to keep them warm and cozy. It protects your baby's delicate skin and is perfect for snuggling!
