    Pregnant? Symptoms of hepatosis

    Är du gravid och har svår klåda i händer och fötter så kan det röra sig om hepatos. Det är dock vanligt med klåda under graviditeten och det kan även röra sig om eksem, värmeutslag eller en allergisk reaktion. I den här artikeln kan du läsa om vad hepatos (intraheptisk kolestas) innebär.

    Symptom på hepatos när du är gravid

    Symtom vid hepatos är svår klåda som ofta ter sig i händer och fotsulor, framförallt nattetid. Det är vanligast att du insjuknar i tredje trimestern och det är också vanligt förekommande att det återupprepar sig i nästkommande graviditet.

    Hepatosen ger inga utslag men du kan få rivmärken efter att du har kliat dig. Klådan försvinner sedan så fort du fött ditt eller dina barn. Vid svår hepatos innebär det viss ökad risk för fostret. Om du söker vård för symtom för hepatos kommer prover att tas för att kunna ge dig rätt vård och behandling. Det kan vara svårt att behandla klådan, men det finns läkemedel som kan hjälpa. Fråga din barnmorska om råd eller på ditt närmsta apotek.

    Vad beror hepatos på?

    Under graviditeten påverkas levern, som bildar galla. Gallan transporteras till tunntarmen, men under graviditeten tar det längre tid för den att komma dit, vilket leder till för mycket galla i levern. Detta leder också till för mycket gallsyra i blodet och det är detta som orsakar klådan.

    Vilka risker finns med hepatos?

    Om du har fått hepatos är det större risk för graviditetsdiabetes och havandeskapsförgiftning (preeklampsi). Om du har haft hepatos under graviditeten förekommer det en liten ökad risk för leversjukdom senare i livet. Beroende på hur svår hepatos du haft kan du komma att behöva kontrollera dina levervärden via förlossningskliniken, en tid efter att du fött ditt eller dina barn.
