    Magic bean burger recipe

These bean burgers are made with kidney beans as the base and with the help of a lot of spices, they become irresistible. The accompaniments can of course be changed according to taste, but we love this combination with mayonnaise, red onion and everything else good. With the potato wedges on the side, this dish is perfect!

    Recipe for bean burgers

    For 2 persons
    Cooking time: 50 minutes

    Ingredients for the bean burger:
1 can of kidney or black beans (250 g)
    1 egg
    1/2 dl breadcrumbs
    1/2 onion
    2 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tbsp paprika powder
    A pinch of chilli flakes
    Salt and pepper to taste

    Accessories:
2 burger buns of any kind, I prefer brioche buns
The contents of the burger you can choose to taste, I prefer:
    Green salad
    Red onion
    Mashed avocado
    Fried egg
    Cheddar or other cheese
    Mayonnaise
    Ketchup
500g potatoes (regular or sweet potatoes)

    Do this:
    1. Mix the bean burger batter in a blender or with a hand blender. Place in the freezer for 15 minutes to make it easier to shape the patties.
    2. When 15 minutes have passed, take out the batter and shape steaks into the size you prefer.
    3. Set the oven to 225 degrees. Make potato wedges from your potatoes and place in the oven with oil, salt and pepper for about 30 minutes or until the potatoes are done.
    4. Fry them in oil for about 5 minutes on each side at medium-high temperature.
    5. Place your bean burger on the hamburger bun and then build your burger with the toppings you have chosen
    6. Serve with your baked potato/sweet potato

    Healthy ingredients for pregnant women:
Kidney beans are a 'superfood' for pregnant women, especially if you are a vegetarian, as they are the best alternative to meat with their high levels of iron - which pregnant women are often deficient in! Kidney beans are also high in magnesium which can help with cramps, are full of antioxidants and are anti-inflammatory.
