One year before a man and woman have a child, studies show that there is a difference of around 10% in pay. Eight years after the first child, there is a difference of 30% between men and women's salaries. How equal is your relationship? Private economist Emma Persson at Länsförsäkringar is an expert on finances in relationships. In this section, she uses facts and statistics to highlight the differences that exist today when it comes to men and women's financial circumstances. Being informed as a mother and thus being able to make more informed choices is something that the whole of society, not least the mother herself, gains from. This episode is an investment in knowledge, gender norms and gender equality.
