    10 fun activities to do with children aged 3-5

    Sometimes your imagination as a parent can run dry. So what should we do today? Children have
    endless energy and we parents often want to meet our children in fun activities, but what
    is there anything to do out there? Here are some tips on fun activities for those with
    children between 3-5 years old!

    Activities

    Having a three-, four- or five-year-old in the family means lots of energy, curiosity and
    a sense of discovery. Children at this age love to play, try new things and develop their
    skills through playful learning. Here are ten fun and stimulating activities that are suitable
    perfect for little adventurers!

    1. treasure hunt at home or outdoors

    Hide little treasures, like favorite fruits or stickers, and give out clues for your child to find
    Follow. Perfect for practicing problem solving and patience!

    2. build a hut

    Use blankets, cushions and chairs to create a cozy hut. You can play there, read books or
    have your own little 'home' to decorate.

    3. painting and crafting

    Get creative with finger painting, cutting and pasting or making simple beaded bracelets. Simple
    craft projects give children the opportunity to express themselves freely!

    4. cooking together

    Let your child join you in the kitchen! Simple recipes like baking muffins, making fruit salad or
    sandwiches will be both educational and delicious.

    5. Outdoor movement games

    Hopscotch, play ball, ride a bike or run an obstacle course in the garden. Perfect for exercising
    motor skills and get fresh air!

    6. Role play and fantasy play

    Playing shop, doctor, superheroes or café - pretend play is both fun and challenging for
    language and social skills.

    7. Nature excursions

    Go out and explore the forest, park or beach. Collect leaves, look for insects or build a small
    hut made of sticks.

    8. Dance and music session

    Put on your favorite songs and have a dance party or try playing simple instruments. Music helps
    to develop rhythm and body control!

    9. Reading fairy tales and telling stories

    Books open up a world of imagination and knowledge. Let your child choose a favorite book or
    make up a fairy tale together!

    10. Water play

    In summer, you can have water wars, play with water balloons or fill a tub with
    toys for boat games. Simple pleasures that bring great joy!

    Doing activities together creates great memories and strengthens the relationship between parents
    and children. Through play, children develop socially, motorically and cognitively - while
    you have fun together!
