Pregnancy is often experienced as a roller coaster with peaks and valleys. Some days everything feels easy and natural, while other days are filled with new ailments, problems or worries. It may be about your body, your feelings, the baby or just the need to talk to someone who knows.

With Femcare's digital appointments, you don't have to wait for your next physical visit with a midwife. Instead, you can get answers to your questions quickly and easily without having to go anywhere.

What is a digital midwife appointment?

A digital appointment is a personal conversation via video with a licensed midwife. You book the appointment via Femcare's app or web, log in with BankID and have the appointment in the Femcare app.

It works just like a regular meeting, the difference is that you don't have to travel and can sit wherever you feel most comfortable.

When can a digital meeting be useful?

There is really no “right” time. Pregnancy is always on the move, and with it comes new thoughts, questions and feelings. Sometimes early, sometimes in the middle, sometimes when you thought you had it all figured out.

A digital meeting can be just the interlude when you don't want to wait for the next check-up, but still want to talk to someone who can reassure, explain or help you sort things out.

You don't have to collect questions or wait until something feels big enough. Sometimes a conversation is all it takes to feel safe again.

Digital meetings are also great for illnesses or conditions that make transportation difficult, such as severe nausea or pelvic floor pain.

What can you discuss in a digital meeting?

At Femcare, you can get advice from the midwife about, for example:

    • How you feel, physically or emotionally - and what you can do about it
    • Pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, fatigue or pain
    • Worries, stress or concerns that have arisen
    • Questions about tests, ultrasound or next steps

The midwife will listen, advise and help you further if something needs to be followed up physically.

Digital first - physical when needed

Digital appointments are not a substitute for all care, but they mean you don't have to book face-to-face appointments if you don't want to in the first place.

If the midwife decides that you need on-site tests, examinations or follow-up, Femcare will help you.

Do you have any questions you would like to ask?

Whether you have a specific question, need to calm something that is spinning in your head or just want to check in, Femcare is here, often with free time already the next day.
